More than 23K vaccine doses split between Montgomery County hub sites, providers week of March 8
Bolstered by the availability of the new COVID-19 vaccine from Johnson & Johnson, quite 23,000 vaccine doses are going to be split between Montgomery County's two central hub sites and nearly three dozen additional providers during the week of March 8 within the county's largest weekly first-dose vaccine allocation yet.
Montgomery County COVID-19 vaccine allocations
COVID-19 vaccine allocation and administration is constant statewide under the guidance of the Texas Department of State Health Services. Doses of the Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines are being sent to Texas health care providers.
Allotments for the 2 hub providers are just like last weeks with 2,500 doses reserved for the Lone Star Family Health Center's Conroe distribution site and nearly 8,200 reserved for CHI St. Luke's—The Woodlands Hospital. More information on vaccinations at the 2 locations is out there by phone and online; St. Luke's details may be found on its vaccine website or by calling 936-202-2060, and Lone Star's details could also be found on its website or by calling 936-523-5230.
The quite 30 additional providers set to receive vaccine doses this week—the 13th week of vaccine distribution in Texas—is the foremost the state has identified for one weekly allocation within the county thus far. The Texas Department of State Health Services said during a statement that the state's total allocations surpassed 1 million first doses for the primary time in the week thanks partially to just about 250,000 doses of the third federally-authorized COVID-19 vaccine from Johnson & Johnson arriving for the primary time.
Only three county providers, including the general public health district, Script Expert Pharmacy, and Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, won't receive the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine during the week of March 8. The 32 remaining providers are each set to receive between 100 and 1,000 doses of that new vaccine.
Montgomery County's vaccine waitlist remains open online, and registration could also be completed via the county's webpage or by calling its COVID-19 call center at 936-523-3916 for assistance.
